Recession, what recession?
This is a very strong group of graphics students.
They haven’t let news stories of economic recession and fewer job prospects scare them.
They haven’t felt sorry for themselves, haven’t cried “Why us. Why are we leaving this year after 15 years of economic growth.”
What recession?
Instead, they’ve got on with learning their chosen subject and developing their craft skills such as typographic skills, layout skills and problem solving skills. More importantly they’ve become a formidable group of young adults who, given the chance, will help businesses out of this recession.
Three of them have even set up their own company before graduating.
What recession?
Many of them have found success in international industry awards such as RSA (The Royal Society of Arts Awards), D&AD (The Designers & Art Directors Awards) YCN (The Young Creative Network Awards) and GRT (The Graeme Robertson Trust Awards).
Some have already had experience of placements at some of the leading consultancies and agencies and others are about to take up placements.
What recession?
These students come from all over the world, from Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Tamworth, London and Leicester to New York, Malaysia, China, India and more.
They’ve impressed us and inspired us and they’re ready to do that for the industry.
What recession?
Any organisation that would like to have new talent with fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and an ability to get the job done, in their company then please get in contact.
