I love to create strange, macabre characters that appear in children's stories I scribble down (usually with an sticky ending). I also have a strange fixation with hairy creatures.

I love my pencils which provide the base for most of my work. In the last year of my studies, my specialism has been namely book illustration for older children, combining horror and humour in both my images and written narrative.

My influences - Roald Dahl's Dirty Beasts, W H Robinson's awesomely creepy novel Uncle Lubin and an obsession with ghosts as a child led me to write the The Terrible Tale of Rick Ragabash, which formed the baseboard for my visual output during my last university project. Rick Ragabash is a very selfish and conceited young boy, who makes one too many demands on his doting father and meets a rather gruesome end at the hands of a giant birdbeast...
