Nicholas Priest

I am a photographer with a great enthusiasm and interest in Documentary and Reportage photography, i am dedicated and full of ideas.
My final year projects have been documentations of cultures, places and people, focusing on colour, the everyday, ordinary and into what we see, overlook and may miss.

My Recent work was a documentation of the Mod/Modernist scene today. Focusing on the nights, clubs and people, from the dancing to the fashion and clothes, and the whole atmosphere and ambiance of a Mod night. I am still visiting mod nights and capturing more and more photographs of different places and people, documentation and portraying the Mod scene today.

My last project was a documentation of Saturday and Sunday League Amateur Football. From the locations and areas of the pitches and clubs, to in around them, landscapes, pre and post game, players, referees, unusual and strange objects, and portraying in within my work.
I caught different locations around the country and the North to the Midlands and West Midlands, portraying my memories of some of the locations, areas and clubs, what i as a player saw and felt, and showing that imagery now as a photographer. My work is also combined with poetry from football fans and there descriptions of football and their love and passion for the game.

My work creates an overall atmosphere and mood alongside a certain narrative. A narrative that we may be in and now about, see but may overlook and dismiss, or not now about, My work tries to create inspiring and interesting photographs to portray those certain aspects.
