My main area of specialism is branding and typography. I’m really interested in communicating and encoding accurate values through design, creating a distinctive tone of voice and exploring the application of lovely letterforms. I’m increasingly falling in love with type and enjoy creating my own too - it’s like creating a new language.
My most recent live project involved creating a brand new identity for a sustainable based organisation, 'Coexist'. They are based in Stokes Croft, Bristol's Cultural Quarter and provide office space for like-minded organisations and creatives. The brand spanned across a range of applications including web (with public participation), architecture, typography and various print applications.
I have also worked collabertatively on the Baskerville Project - we created, directed and edited scene 5 of the Baskerville Movie. We also designed an interactive installation screen at this year's Flat Pack Festival too.
Learning about a wide range of communication applications is in turn making me a better designer – using the best context for message communication is paramount.
